Approximately twenty days after the creation of the Archive, I wanted to add in something that would identify this site. I needed a logo. In the top left corner, there is the title for the site, and it was my goal to change that. I wanted it to go from generic to fabulous, and I knew just how to do that. Here is the progression of the site's logo starting from its generic stage to what it is now.

Generic Logo
This is the original title for the Archive. This is what I wanted to change.
TARM 1
I went to PowerPoint to create some Word Art. Thanks to TI|BD, I was able to find the correct color background. I wanted the title to be a shiny golden color and for it to stretch across the screen. Using PowerPoint to create the image and MS to shrink its height to 69 pixels, I came up with this:
Picture Logo 1
I was pretty satisfied with the textual logo, but I wanted a picture to represent the site. I wanted to have an image, like an icon of sorts. I again went to PowerPoint to create a picture using its various draw tools. I ended up with a globe, Earth. To represent science, I put electron orbits around it. Also, I put the tagline, "Bringing You Information".
TARM 2
After a week or so, I felt the title logo was too bland. I wanted it to be brighter. To solve this problem, I added a glow effect by using a silver gradient.
TARM 3
Shortly afterward, I wanted to change the overall font to something prettier. I wanted the site to give an "old" appearance, and I solved that craving with a different form of text. I made it into a cursive like font making the site look archaic. I also made the glow brighter.
TARM 4
This was supposed to be the final logo, but it was not. What I did here was add the Globe Icon to precede the text.
TARM Seasonals
With the icon in front, it led to the idea of having seasonal titles, much like Google's. I could create new pictures to represent the different holidays around the world. I began to make those.
Halloween
Thanksgiving
Christmas
Picture Logo 2
Eventually, I found the picture Globe Icon was too dull. It did not represent the true nature of earth with clouds, and various land features. I went back to PowerPoint and carefully drew in clouds and land features. I upgraded the picture logo a lot. I gave it the "The Archive of Random Material" title as well.
TARM 5
Since I created the new globe picture, I decided to implement it into the TARM 4.
