Exactly as we left it. O.O
When I look back at this site, I am horrified by the apparent lack of good web development I had back then (:

This site… it still exists. It's like an abandoned building, but left in perfect condition. Weird o.O
Unfortunately, I've probably delved into too many things at one time: blog, Life's Handbook, the Community, CSS project, TIBD, school, and this among other things. Due to the lack of development of this site, I am postponing any further activity until I have finished contributing to other projects. Who knows how long that will be.

For quite a while now, the site has been under maintenance. And for quite a while, I haven't been doing anything primarily due to other projects. I suppose I should actually set up the system.
I want to use tags to tell information about a page. This includes a tag for every header. I also want possibly use parenting to tell special information about a page, such as featured content, but I might use tags instead. Soon this site can be up and running.

Hello! I am actually one of this site's first members, but I have done virtually nothing up until now, so I might as well be a new member. I am here because in real life, I am a friend of Timothy, and he told me about this site.
Like basically everyone here, my interests are quite varied, ranging from math, science, books of numerous genres, movies, video games, music, philosophy, and, more recently, HTML, among other things. Hopefully this site will help me develop all of my interests.
This article provides information on a popular personality test that is useful for understating how you and others think. This is my first article for this site, so tell me what you guys think!
I'm using Firefox, but I can test in IE a lil later.

It didn't have a white box around it.
By the way, if you are using Internet Exploder, then please tell me if you notice any strange behavior. Thanks!

Yes, this is similar to what I was thinking.
The exception would be the essays. The essays are typically researched material, but they might also be original work. Furthermore, essays usually try to argue one point over another, and they will therefore have some bias.
The finish what you start rule is definitely something that would benefit that I forgot to include before. Therefore, people started something but put nothing.
And your right. Minimal interference from higher authorities would be best. That way, people are more comfortable writing and don't have to be too worried about writing something bad.
Right now, I have pages set up precisely how you outlined with the addition that article pages have sidebars for quick facts.

Oh, I see it now.
I'm gonna drop off a few ideas for guidelines.
Ok, there are definitely some important core rules there should be for the site, such as…
I guess that's the main rule, lol.
After that, I think guidelines should include, or at least be similar to as follows:
Thats all I can think of right now.
As to page format, I think pages should always include…
1. Intro - best if its attention getting, usually needs to summarize or preview content with a thesis.
2. Table of Contents - Helps people get around, especially in a bigger post. Also helps to preview and scan for content.
3. Pictures - Some people can be intimidated by a big wall of words, so liven it up with some images. Also helps people understand what your talking about.
After that… discretion of the user, I guess.
These are just recommendations that me as a user would like to see. At the same time, as little interference from higher authorities is usually a good thing, so it would probably be wise not to make a bunch of laws that may or may not matter.
Hope it helps!
